from 11am to 5pm

Opening on April 25th

From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The Cheng Huai association is pleased to present the exhibition of its first artist in residence, Elias Doering.

Elias is an artist from the East Coast of the United States, based in Maine, specializing in ink drawings. His work, primarily in black and white, often resembles a marine comic strip. His drawings explore abandoned spaces where hyper-industrialization meets nature, and question the impact of these environments on human psychology. Doering's imagery is heavily inspired by the natural forms found in tide pools along rocky coastlines.

"Ink drawing is my passion. The exclusive use of black and white allows me to focus on the texture of the worlds I create. Whether it's characters, illustrations, scenes, or figure studies, I bring a unique personal touch to my art. I constantly strive to capture both the playful and the unsettling, through a fluid and expressive line."
